Class Schedule

Spring 2024 Class Schedule – Fall 2024 Class Schedule will be updated in September

Classes are scheduled for ten Saturdays starting January 27, 2024.  Class times are Saturday morning beginning  from 9:00 thru 12:00.  All classes will again be taught remotely using Zoom. Registered students will be notified of class start times.

Skill Levels

Class levels are Introductory (Youth only – 12 and under), and Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced levels for all ages. Placement levels will be determined in consultation with the teacher.

• Absolute beginner / Introductory
  The “absolute beginner” courses are for students who have never played an instrument before.
• Advanced beginner
  Advanced beginner classes are for those who have completed the “absolute beginner course” or have already learned the basics of their instrument but require additional technique, rhythm and speed training.
• Intermediate
  Courses designated “Intermediate” are for those students who are considered past beginner skills and are able to play tunes by ear with good technique and rhythm as well as at a reasonable speed.
• Advanced
  The “Advanced” courses are for students who have met all of the placement requirements and play traditional Irish music at a high level of ability and easily learn by ear.

The Zoom format does not support Absolute Beginner level classes in Fiddle, Flute, and Uillean Pipes.

For new students only, with the exception of those who are Absolute Beginners, we are requesting a music sample be submitted to evaluate proper placement. A link will be provided to upload a file after you have registered or you may submit a link to a YouTube or Vimeo video by using our Contact Form.

Instruments

Final class offerings, levels, and class times are determined depending on enrollment.
